The Office of Faculty Career Development Services provides services and resources for academic faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology. FCDS is responsible for processing all academic faculty personnel transactions including appointments, reappointments, promotions, tenure, post tenure reviews, leaves of absence, and salary adjustments. The office also provides support for faculty in work/life areas such as the Active Service Modified Duties program and extension of the tenure clock.

The office interacts with the Board of Regents (BOR), the academic units, the Office of Human Resources (OHR), Payroll, the Budget Office, the Office of Diversity Management, the Georgia Tech Foundation, and other administrative units to ensure compliance with the appropriate policies and procedures.

FCDS maintains faculty information and records, and compiles annual and adhoc reports on faculty data. FCDS maintains a variety of faculty lists including: endowed chairs and professors, regents professorships, new faculty hires, national academy members and other major award recipients.
